REALTOR® of The Year Award

Exemplifying Excellence in Real Estate

The REALTOR® of the Year Award is presented to a member of the Greater Harrisburg Association of REALTORS® who embodies professionalism, integrity, and dedication to both the real estate industry and the community. This award recognizes a well-rounded individual whose service, leadership, and REALTOR® spirit make a lasting impact on the Association, clients, colleagues, and the public.

Nominees must be REALTORS® in good standing of the Greater Harrisburg Association of REALTORS®. An individual may be a recipient of this award more than once, but not two years in a row. An individual for whom an application is submitted may be nominated any year (s)he meets award criteria except for the four (4) officers of the Association, who are ineligible during the years they serve as officers.

The recipient is honored at the Association’s Holiday Lunch on December 2, 2026.

The Special Awards Committee will review the submitted information. The Committee may attempt to verify any or all information and shall have final determination regarding its inclusion.

All applications MUST be submitted by Monday, October 5, 2026

Please be sure to list all applicable activities, as this information is used by the committee during the decision-making process and may also be included in award announcements. Activities may span the entire period of the nominee’s/applicant’s time as a REALTOR®, not just the most current year.
(includes Association offices held, committee/task force service, special assignments, participation in meetings, educational events, and seminars, membership in any Institute, Society or Council, attendance at Annual Meeting, PAR meetings, NAR conventions, involvement in other activities, programs or projects sponsored by GHAR/PAR/NAR or other allied organizations, recruitment of Business Partners, and RPAC and legislative activities.)
(includes participation in civic, service, political, fraternal, religious, and charitable organizations on any level, including paid or unpaid political office and activities in connection with bond or tax elections which impact real estate, public welfare campaigns, supporting the Eden Village initiative and cultural contributions to the community.)
(includes general reputation for professional competence, service to clients, progressive manner in conducting business, such as imagination and creativity in advertising and promotion, rehabilitation, land utilization, etc.)
(includes faithfulness to principles of organized real estate, law, and regulations of the Association, adherence to the Code of Ethics, time and effort expended in furthering principles of good real estate practice among other real estate licensees, the press, and the general public, furthering of education, teaching New Member Orientation, teaching ethics courses, willingness to share experience and knowledge with others.)
