Serve on the GHAR Board of Directors
The Greater Harrisburg Association of REALTORS® is currently accepting applications for key leadership positions on the Board of Directors for 2026. Roles available include Secretary/Treasurer, and five Directors.
Apply before 11:59 PM on August 8, 2025, to be considered for these positions.

Review all qualifications
- Directors must be a member with a minimum of 2 years membership at the Greater Harrisburg Association of REALTORS® to be eligible to hold a director position.
- Directors and Officers must not have been found in violation of the Code of Ethics in the last five (5) years. If a director or officer is found to be in violation of the Code of Ethics while serving, they will be removed from the Board of Directors.
- Directors cannot be elected to serve for more than two (2) successive terms.
- No more than two (2) REALTORS® from the same real estate firm may serve on the Board of Directors at any one time.
- If election results would otherwise cause this number to be exceeded, the candidates to be installed as Directors from that firm would be determined by the number of votes received by each candidate.
- In the event a Director transfers from one real estate firm to another so that this limitation is exceeded, the transferring Director shall be removed from the Board of Directors and the resulting vacancy filled pursuant to the Association’s Bylaws.

Seize the chance to lead.
Once you’ve completed and submitted your application, you’ve officially taken the steps to seize your opportunity to lead. All candidates are invited to participate in a meeting with the screening committee.

The information on the application will be reviewed by the Association’s Screening Committee. In addition, the information will be used in an email to the membership announcing the Slate.
Association staff will verify your years of membership and committee service prior to the Screening Committee’s review. You will be invited (not required but encouraged) to meet with the Screening Committee sometime after August 11 and before August 22. Once the date of the Screening Committee meeting is determined, you will be notified and asked to set up a time to meet with them.
Before your meeting with the Screening Committee, you will receive a copy of the Code of Conduct and the Strategic Plan.
