Vishnu Patel

Bio: Vishnu Patel graduated from Penn State with majors in Accounting and Finance and a minor in Information Systems Technology. He also received his MBA from Penn State in 2020 and holds a CPA license as well which he has maintained even after leaving the public accounting field. He spent the first 5 years of his career in the tax accounting field working for KPMG in the DC Metro area then Boyer and Ritter in Camp Hill. He is quite familiar with GHAR as he was a licensed Real Estate Agent while in undergrad. He’s taking a number of courses at the Association and has most recently taught an Introduction to Commercial Lending Class to a group of residential agents looking to grow their knowledge and skills.
He entered the Banking field in 2020 and spent the majority of his time in the field with Presence Bank out of their Harrisburg Office. As a commercial lender Vishnu has worked on a variety of commercial real estate transactions ranging from first-time rental property investors, multifamily projects, construction to permanent financing (which includes a Dunkin Donuts franchise location), and a variety of hotel transactions as well. Additionally, he works with small businesses for needs on working lines of capital, vehicle loans, business purchases and partner buyins.
From a community involvement perspective, Vishnu is currently the Vice Vice Chair of the Steering Committee for the Bridges Society of the United Way, the Vice Chair of the Executive Board of Leadership Harrisburg Area (a 2023 graduate of the Community Leadership Series), and the Treasurer of the Condominium Association he resides in. He volunteers outside of these organizations on a routine basis as his role exposes him to a number of Non-Profits.
Vishnu’s passion is on connecting people and building relationships among those he gets the opportunity to meet. His approach to business is a combination of the phrases “givers gain” and “a rising tide lifts all ships.” Combining these two concepts he also launched his own networking group called Connections and Beyond Society (CBS).
