HARRISBURG, PA – January 12, 2026 – The Greater Harrisburg housing market closed 2025 in a period of continued adjustment, as rising inventory and steady sales activity signaled a shift toward more balanced conditions. December home prices remained strong across much of the region, while slightly longer marketing times reflected a market moving at a healthier, more sustainable pace. These trends point to a stable outlook as the region enters 2026.
“It’s common to see market activity slow during the winter months, with fewer listings and slightly longer marketing times,” said 2026 GHAR President Tracee Carter. “For buyers, that slower pace can make the process more manageable and allow them to make thoughtful decisions in their homeownership journey.”
