Foundation Annual Golf Outing

ENOLA, PA (June 21, 2023) – The Greater Harrisburg Association of REALTORS® Foundation hosted its Annual Golf Outing on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Armitage Golf Club in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The event aimed to raise funds for housing-related charities in the Greater Harrisburg area.

A total of 144 golfers, including REALTORS® and local Business Partners, participated in the outing. The teams commenced their competition at noon and began their quest for the gold winner’s trophy.

Following the completion of the round, all golfers were invited to the banquet room for dinner, prize announcements, and check presentations. The golf tournament prizes included various categories such as Hole-In-One, Longest Drive, Straightest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Longest Putt, and more.

Thanks to the generous support of sponsors, donors, and golfers, the Foundation successfully raised over $13,000 dollars to contribute to the community. The proceeds from this event will be allocated to the GHAR Foundation, which supports shelter and housing-related charities in central Pennsylvania, including Tomorrow’s Neighbors and Vickie’s Angel Foundation. Both organizations have been presented with $2,000 grants from the GHAR Foundation.

Tomorrow’s Neighbors is a reentry organization that aims to create safer communities by empowering individuals with the necessary resources. They provide services, mentoring, and community service programs to those reintegrating into society after prison. The $2,000 grant will assist in renovating their facility and financially supporting reentry citizens with housing costs.

Vickie’s Angel Foundation aids families battling cancer who are struggling to cover their bills during treatment. The foundation’s goal is to alleviate the financial burden on families, allowing them to focus on their health and overcome the challenges of cancer. The $2,000 grant will directly benefit families in Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry counties who are financially unable to pay their bills.

The Foundation would like to express its utmost gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s golf outing. With continued support and generosity, we can continue to work together to make our community a better place to live.
