GHAR Foundation Presented Grants to Local Organizations
CAMP HILL, PA (Oct. 14, 2021) – The Greater Harrisburg Association of REALTORS® Foundation awarded two grants to charitable organizations supporting the greater Harrisburg community at its Annual Meeting and Trade Fair on October 13th. These funds will help advance their housing and shelter-related missions.
Foundation President Danielle Wadsworth presented the two checks, each for $2,000, on behalf of the Foundation to: Timothy White with AMiracle4Sure and Michael Burns with Join Hands Ministry.
AMiracle4Sure works to improve the quality of life for individuals and their families whose lives have been impacted by negative life experiences. The grant they receive will help provide rental and utility assistance for low-income families who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Join Hands Ministry provides direction, intervention, and support to persons facing living challenges in Perry County. The grant they receive will assist in emergency housing for Perry County residents.
The Greater Harrisburg Association of REALTORS® Foundation was formally organized in 1990, building on the Association’s long history of community involvement as an organization. Over the years, the Association and its Foundation have been involved in numerous community projects, various community revitalization and clean-up projects, scholarship drives and personal care drives. In recent years, the Foundation has shifted its focus to fundraising to support non-profit organizations in the Harrisburg area.
Since 1993, the Greater Harrisburg Association of REALTOR® Foundation has donated over $750,000 to local non-profit organizations. This year, the Foundation is giving $14,000 to seven different community organizations.
