A New Chapter for GHAR
Celebrating 23 Years of Leadership as Kathy Ludwig Announces Retirement

After 23 years of dedicated service to the Greater Harrisburg Association of REALTORS®, Kathy Ludwig has announced her retirement, effective August 13, 2026.
Since joining GHAR in 2003, Kathy has been an instrumental figure in shaping the Association’s growth and success — from guiding the Carlisle Association’s transition into GHAR to leading the Association’s move to Bright MLS to overseeing the opening of GHAR’s current building, and countless milestones in between. Her leadership, dedication, and vision have left a lasting mark on the organization and its members.
“I remember driving up to 1847 Center Street in Camp Hill 23 years ago, not sure what to expect in my new position,” Ludwig said. “It has been quite the journey and learning experience, and I would not trade it for anything. Through the years, I have been fortunate to work with incredible GHAR board members, partner with affiliate business partners, plan events and programs with committee leadership, develop courses with our GHRI instructors, and provide community service alongside our members.
“I will work alongside the new CEO to ensure a smooth and successful transition. Thank you for this amazing chapter in my life. I wish GHAR all the best in its next chapter.”
The Next Chapter Begins with Excitement as GHAR Announces Kurtis Krueger as Incoming Chief Executive Officer

A huge thank you to the search committee, chaired by Barb Murdocca, with members Jamie Berrier, Josh Clelan, Jim Helsel, Sylvia Hess-Albright, Wendell Hoover, and Jimmy Koury, who worked diligently to find qualified candidates and secure GHAR’s new CEO, Kurtis Krueger.
Krueger brings extensive experience in association leadership, business operations, member engagement, and strategic growth, including serving as CEO of a local REALTOR® association and an affiliated MLS organization. His background also includes real estate development, business consulting, and operational leadership at two real estate companies, as well as nonprofit management experience.
“We are excited to welcome Kurtis to GHAR. His vision, leadership experience, and commitment to serving members make him well-suited to lead the association into its next chapter,” said Tracee Carter, 2026 GHAR President.
Kathy’s 23 years of leadership have laid a strong foundation for the association — one that Kurtis is now well positioned to build upon.
As CEO, he will lead efforts to support REALTORS®, strengthen advocacy, expand professional development opportunities, enhance community investment, and advance GHAR’s mission.
“I’m honored to join GHAR at such an exciting time,” said Krueger. “This association has built a strong reputation and a powerful voice for REALTORS® in this region, and I see real opportunity to build on that momentum. I’m looking forward to getting to know our members, partnering with leadership and staff, and working together to strengthen our industry’s impact across the Greater Harrisburg community.”
Kurtis is expected to join the GHAR office by July 13, and members will have the opportunity to meet him in the weeks ahead. Details on welcome events will be shared soon.
